Whatever your views, it cannot be denied that each has had a wide and original impact on the face of British politics since 1945. This page will examine the careers of all the prime ministers of Great Britain and the location of their personal papers in various archival institutions around the country. Archival information will be given wherever possible, although with the most recent prime ministers, John Major and Tony Blair, their papers may not yet be available for historical and political research.
